Feed Your Joy Cooking Class

Did you know there are foods that actually help to boost your mood and reduce any sensation of pain?!  Whole plant based foods are like little miracle bombs!  When combined well, they help to reduce the multiple effects trauma has on your body.  In this class we’ll explore a favourite anytime meal of mine, faux huevos rancheros, and how all the ingredients chosen will help you to Feed Your Joy!

Ki is an anti-inflammatory foods gut health specialist and Ayurvedic chef/nutritionist trained at the Om Tat Sat Institute of Yoga.  Using the science of Ayurveda in combination with gut health practices, Ki will help guide you to overcome the mental and physical stresses of trauma using grocery store food.

Saturday, April 10th 11am – Take Your Power Back: Yoga Practice with Lisa Greenbaum

This last year has been a huge challenge to us on all levels and in so many ways we’ve been left at the sidelines, trying our best to hold it all together, waiting and hoping. The time is now! 

This Yoga based practice will explore a strong and empowered core workout to fuel the fire inside and a hip opening Yin based practice to release stored tension from our body. A quiet closing relaxation will leave you feeling empowered and connected.

Thursday, April 22nd 5:30pm – Heart of the Matter: Meditation Workshop with Rajesh Ragbir

Home is where the heart is, even if one’s heart is broken. We will practice heart awareness, using mindfulness, meditation and perspective as means to preparing the way home.

Saturday, April 24th 11am – Trauma-Informed Gentle Yoga with Drew Climie

Gentle Yoga Flow focuses on slowing down and building a sense of ease within. Poses will help build strength and mobility through the body while focusing on aligning our movements to our breath. Release stress and tension with this feel-good class. Open to all levels.

Choose this class if you are managing pain or simply want a quieter practice.
