What You’ll Learn
This comprehensive training, equips and empowers trainees, utilizing the RFR Method to become trauma responsive, build resilience and restore mind-body wellness. The course instils the principles of yoga, energy, Jungian and positive psychology along with ~ trauma informed SEL, mindfulness based stress reduction, breathwork and how to apply them in their practice.
Our program uses a theoretical and empirically grounded approach, based on the body of trauma and yoga literature to support the effective and safe provision of trauma informed practice, somatic healing and SEL to potentially vulnerable populations. Participants will learn the practice of restorative yoga and will be prepared to teach classes through a trauma informed lens to adults and youth looking to develop a sustainable practice focused on post traumatic growth and the art of wellbeing.
This training is an integrative framework for understanding how trauma and chronic stress impact the body and mind.
In addition, Mental Health First Aid is an inclusive part of our program training and a prerequisite for our course participants to graduate.

After completing the 200hr program, students will gain a somatic healing teacher certification through the RFR HAI. As part of our "Rebuilding Communities Project Initiatives", a requirement for certification is that students will volunteer 12 hours teaching the RFR Method and bringing the gift of TRMBW™ and somatic movement to marginalized populations within their community. You can choose an organization in your community or we will place you with a RFR community partner of choice where you will bring the gift of TRMBW™ SEL and movement, free of charge, to marginalized populations within the community.
Community Service

Students will have a 30-minute private call with a member of our team for Q&A, to discuss community partners, hours and approval of their certificate.
In-order to receive their certificate, students will have to complete twelve hours of practice teaching as a community service.
If you don't have a community in mind, you will be placed with a RFR community partner of choice where you will bring the gift of TRMBW™ SEL and somatic movement, free of charge, to marginalized populations within the community.
Our Social Change Model........ Paying it Forward
Help Her Recover Trauma Relief for the Community focuses on providing compassionate and accessible trauma relief services, to women in shelter and in communities of need. As part of our social change model, this training "pays it forward" to assist women and girls who are living with the intersecting challenges of violence, abuse, poverty, mental illness, and addiction. We believe every woman and girl has a right to live a life not defined by their past. Your participation in this training allows us to assist women who have experienced complex trauma and are in various stages of recovery, to rise up, reclaim their dignity and rebuild their lives.
Through Help Her Recover an arm of RFR, each student will sponsor ONE woman to receive a trauma relief care pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
You often see references to yoga teachers or studios being "certified" by the Yoga Alliance.
This is a misconception, because the Yoga Alliance does not certify teachers, but rather registers teacher training programs that meet its minimum standards in the following categories: 200-hour, 500-hour, prenatal, and children's yoga. For example, at the 200-hour level, the Yoga Alliance breaks down how many hours should be spent on each part of the training, including teaching methodology, physiology, philosophy, etc.
If a yoga studio's teacher training program meets these standards, they can register with the Yoga Alliance.
Many of our instructors including the Founder Amanda are RYT with Yoga Alliance. A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) is a distinction given to yoga teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance requirements. A RYT must complete training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS), be confirmed by Yoga Alliance and current with annual fees and Continuing Education.
For all 4 modules completed you will receive a Rituals for Recovery HAI TRMBW™ 200hr Somatic Healing CYT designation and certificate of completion.
After completing the Mental Health First Course, graduates will also receive a MHFA certificate of completion.
Once you signed up for the online course your tuition fee & payment plan are however non-refundable. We give ourselves with an open heart, and we trust that you can find ways to receive the invaluable gifts we share.
However, if due to unforeseen circumstances, Rituals for Recovery must postpone or cancel any of our training programs, the option of a full refund processed within 30 days will be given. Otherwise, you may choose to transfer your payment to a future program date.
