WHAT WE DO
Rituals for Recovery builds foundational knowledge and competency in trauma-responsive care within communities. We provide social-emotional learning opportunities through awareness campaigns, educational classes, workshops, formal training, and community events.
Through primary and secondary prevention programming, we help individuals, health and wellness professionals, social service agencies, and organizations become trauma-responsive, ensuring that their services and practices do not cause re-traumatization for survivors. Our primary focus is training helping professionals, organizations, and agencies with the specialized skillset necessary to work with those recovering from the long-term effects of stress and trauma. We call it the RfR Method of Trauma Responsive Mind-Body Wellness & SEL (TRMBW™).
TRMBW™ is the embodiment of connecting people to social-emotional learning (SEL) skills and trauma-informed practices needed to respond to toxic stress and overcome difficult life circumstances. It allows individuals to build self-efficacy and enhance self-regulation—in body, mind, and spirit.
Through our specialized programs—Trauma Responsive Communities (TRC), Trauma Responsive Schools (TRS), and Trauma Responsive Workplaces (TRW)—we provide tailored training and certification in facilitating the RfR Method as a tool for transformation and healing. Our ongoing support strengthens our program partners’ ability to better assist the individuals and communities they serve, promoting safety, inclusion, and empowerment for all.
Rituals for Recovery builds capacity within partnering organizations by training their staff to facilitate our Trauma Responsive Mind Body Wellness & SEL programming and providing continuous support as they implement the TRMBW™ & SEL program with those who have experienced various forms of trauma.
Through this unique model, we aim to develop an international network of active TRMBW™ & SEL Facilitators, allowing us to reach tens of thousands of survivors each year.
